Fire Prevention

The Fire Prevention Division of Central Whidbey Fire & Rescue provides  leadership and inspection services to help prevent fires and assure fire and life safety for the people who live, work and visit Central Whidbey Island.

The Town of Coupeville contracts CW Fire to perform all Fire and Life Safety Inspections and plans review for all businesses within the Town limits. The town has adopted the International Fire Code as the fire code standard. Our Inspectors are certified ICC Inspector 1's and work hand and hand with the business owners of Coupeville to maintain employee and public safety, as well as educate on fire & life safety.

Central Whidbey Fire also provides fire prevention and preparedness assistance to the District's business community. Resources for developing fire emergency plans and for training staff are available free of charge for a variety of occupancies.
